for City Council
for City Council
I was elected to City Council in 2022 and I’m running to serve again. I ran because I wanted to have more responsive and transparent elected leaders in our community. I’ve spent my time on City Council working hard to respond to residents, to listen to your concerns and vote with those concerns in mind. I’m willing to ask the tough questions and work on compromises that benefit our City and residents.
I introduced and helped create a partnership between our City Police Department and the GMU Center for Evidence Based Crime Policy, which will be a helpful tool for the City in addressing and reducing crime.
I am continuing to work on realignment of environmentally destructive projects like the George Snyder Trail. We came very close to realignment and I believe it’s still possible. Right now the full build is only supported by two council members and the mayor.
I served on the Homelessness Task Force and I continue working to make sure residents and businesses feel heard while advocating for practical and meaningful solutions so everyone feels safe in our community. I am serving on many regional boards related to the environment.
